It’s summer time and I wanted to share drinks that are going to skyrocket your energy levels!
For me, drinking water and the first meal sets the tone for my day. Since I’m not a fan of a heavy breakfast, my #1 choice is smoothies. I love the texture and it is a super easy way to get what my body needs in one meal.
And now you might be already thinking: “Not a green one again… I’ve tried them before and they just don’t taste good!” But you will want to wait because this recipe is super delicious.
GREEN SMOOTHIE
I am one of those who follow the idea to eat fruits in the morning, so I go for bananas or apples. The lovely smooth texture comes from avocados, adding veggies and spicing it up with a dash of cinnamon.
I start by soaking a tablespoon of chia seeds in a blender. Chopping the veggies & fruits, and tossing all the ingredients in (it needs to be a powerful blender to make it smooth), and blend. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
- 1 cup of spinach (or any green leafy veggie)
- 1 stalk of celery
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 banana or 2 small/medium apples
- 0,2l water (or as much as you like)
- dash of cinnamon
This lovely green creamy smoothie helps me feel satisfied and ready to take on my day.

Fresh cold ORANGE TEA - to spice up your day
Yes, we all know oranges and lemons are loaded with vitamin C, which is a primary energizer. In addition to being a vitamin that boosts your energy levels, vitamin C also can help you fight chronic diseases and boost your immune system. Spices like ginger and cinnamon add additional value since they are antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, help digestion, and have many other health benefits.
This is a delicious immune-boosting and easy-to-make tea recipe that mixes orange and lemon juice, ginger, cinnamon, and tea.
- Water (0,4 l) to make organic fruit tea
- Ginger (fresh ginger root or 1/2 spoon minced)
- Cinnamon (a stick or 1/2 spoon minced)
- Freshly squeezed orange juice (1 cup, 1- 2 oranges)
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice (1 lemon)
- Honey (optional)
How?
- Boil water in a pan, add fresh ginger and cinnamon, and simmer for a few minutes.
- Add fruit and tea (2 big spoons or 2 bags) and let it cool.
- Strain and poor in orange & lemon juice.
Optional: you can add a spoon of honey to your taste.
